Catalytic converter thefts persist as law enforcement agencies continue to seek solutions to combat this growing crime. To help address the ongoing crisis, CARFAX for Police has released its 2023 Catalytic Converter Replacement Report.

The report identifies the most-targeted vehicles nationally, regionally, and by state. CARFAX data scientists created this report by reviewing catalytic converter replacements from more than 70,000 service shops across the country between May 2022 and June 2023.

The goal is to help the law enforcement community understand which vehicles are at most risk for theft and help educate citizens about the risk.
